Sample Lesson Plans
This page gives you a quick glimpse into some of the lessons I've taught this year.
LEQ: How can a speaker present information clearly and logically to a specific purpose, audience, and task?
In this lesson students research various instances of Genocide in the world which fits nicely in our study of the novel Night. Students develop a keynote presentation to speak in front of the class about his or her topic. You will find only the lesson plan here, but I would be happy to email more resources such as a presentation rubric or a list of possible presentation topics upon request!
LEQ: How do poets express themes of self and identity in their work?

This is a great lesson that incorporates the use of multimedia texts, as students work to analyze themes of identity in poetry. Students always seem to like the poetry in this one!

iPad Policy Introduction
Here is a lesson plan that the iPad sub-committee delivered to our teachers, so that they can understand the plan for distributing iPads and establish expectations clearly.
