Family Music Classes
Nature Jams first session of family music classes is set to start on December 13th, 2013. For information on pricing and the schedule, see below!

Nature Jams family music class is designed for pre-school children (ages 1 - 5) and their parent(s). The class will use music to facilitate
- Gross motor development through movement
- Fine motor development through instrument playing
- Cooperative play and socialization through sharing, turn taking, and ball games
- Early language development through call and response songs
- Early ear training through a consistent use of the Chromanotes musical system and follow up at-home activities
- An understanding of rhythm through the Kodaly method
- Music appreciation through exposure to a variety instruments
Members of the class will also receive occasional Nature Jams pre-releases to help us field-test new songs and materials!
The first session of classes will be held from December 13th until January 17th on Fridays, from 10:40 - 11:30 at the Meadow in the Newark Natural Foods Co-Op! The cost of the six-week session is $60 per family.
