FOR THOUGHT

Food For Thought is Nature Jams' premiere program for pre-schools, elementary schools, and middle-schools. Built from the ground up by Zach and Rob, Food For Thought is a multi-sensory experience designed to provide children with a powerful message about good health.Through call and response songs, high energy dance numbers, an HD video backdrop, and a powerful musical performance, Nature Jams makes learning about nutrition easy, fun, and memorable.

We'll send your school several CD's before the scheduled performance so the teacher's can introduce the concepts and songs ahead of time. Below is a brief overview of the program, song by song.

Localvore - The show starts with an introduction of what it means to be local, shop locally, eat local food, and support your community.

What's For Lunch?- Students sing-a-long in this call-and-response song about that age-old question, What's For Lunch?

Into The Garden - Take a trip into the garden as Rob and Zach perform to an HD video sequence of the vegetable alphabet.

Sweet Beets - GET UP, STOMP, CLAP, and SING in this word-play heavy song that introduces students to the Kodaly method for early music education.

Mud Pies Bring out your school's sensory table (and we'll bring some too) and we will go on a  dessert making adventure through the dirt (the sensory table element is only available for smaller groups).

Choose My Plate - Learn how to eat healthy by using the USDA's new version of the food pyramid.

Little Water Drop - ï»¿Learn the importance of drinking lots of water and the importance of keeping our water clean on this beautiful musical and visual journey that follows a little water drop all around the world.

Avocado- Get up and dance to a bubble filled finale about Rob's favorite super-food, avocado.
